#0 Nate Hayes: No Mercy 17u- Shooting Guard

Nate excels at every aspect of the game. I really appreciated the heart he showed in the match-up against Joliet United 17u. He did everything he could to help the team win. Whether it was scoring, rebounding, defending or dishing out assists, Nate was a major factor to the teams' success. He's great at breaking down defenders off the dribble, scoring on strong drives and knocking down perimeter jump-shots. Nate's also a slick passer who often found teammates in scoring situations. He's a great rebounder who attacked the glass with the same ferociousness as he did on offense. Every offensive board he grabbed led to him scoring easy put-backs around the basket. When No Mercy had chances to score on fast-breaks, Nate always finished strong. Defense is an area where he could work on. He gives great effort but doesn't quite have the foot speed to stay with quicker offensive players. He forced a couple of turnovers off hustle plays. Nate is an awesome player who has a chance to be even greater when he improves his tenacity on defense.
